The mission
Since 2015, the non-profit organization EKO! has been supporting positive and innovative projects
that combine ecology and solidarity . It fosters individual and collective development and resilience while respecting nature and cultures!
EKO! What does that word mean?
‘eko’ in espéranto
means ‘beginning’: the equivalent of ‘let’s go!’ or ‘let’s go!’ in the language without borders, and resonates to give us the tempo in building a resilient and united tomorrow!
‘oïkos’ in ancient Greek
means ‘house’ and gave us the words ‘ecology’ and ‘economy’: because the home is a key place of transition, echoing this Earth, our common home which it is vital to take care of!
The values
Coherence: acting globally in a way that is adapted to the interdependence of societal challenges
Simplicity: doing well with less, in an approach that values resources and in a vision of humanity integrated with ecosystems
Empowerment: strengthening skills and self-confidence, to be an active participant in one’s own life
Openness: being and doing with others, towards an enriching diversity of people and ideas
